People have very different opinions on cars. To some people, a car is simply a thing that gets you from A to B and the little money they have to spend on it the better. For others, a car is more of a personal thing. It may be that they really enjoy driving and would happily spend a day out driving around for something to do. Many people see cars as a status symbol so therefore they want the latest model or a specific make to show friends and family that they are doing well in life.

Regardless of which type of person you are, reliability has to part of your choice when it comes to picking a vehicle. No one wants to be spending lots of money on repairs and having to go for a day or a week without your vehicle. Certain brands are renowned for their reliability such as Volkswagen and surprisingly Skoda (in recent years). Other brands such as Alfa Romeo is known for its unreliability but great styling.

When choosing a car make sure that it is comfortable and matches your needs, e.g. if you are doing a lot of motorway miles.
