Getting the Best Possible Price for your Car

When you’ve decided that you need to move on in the world and buy a new car,  your next task will be to make sure you get as much money as you can for your current motor. If you sell to a scrap man you’re not likely to get a very good price, while a car dealer will only be thinking about making a profit for their self.

This is why you should consider selling your car privately, but then what do you set as the asking price? Well, always price it higher and say that that’s the price or ‘nearest offer’. This then allows a potential buyer to see that there’s some leeway, and it’s up to you to try and get as near to the asking price as possible.

Make sure your car is running smoothly when they come to visit, while it should look clean and you may even want to fill in any cracks or scratches. The better it looks, the more likely you are to get a good price, but just stick to your asking price and be bold, you’ll then put yourself in a powerful position to get the price you want, as long as it is reasonable.
