When many people come to sell their car, they often list a huge account of good points the car has but neglect to mention the bad points. Of course, everyone wants to get as much money for their car as possible and you don’t have to list every little scratch and scuff in the ad, but you do need to be honest.
If for example the car has bald tyres then you should detail this in the ad. If there is an engine warning light on then again this is something that needs to be mentioned. If you wait until the potential buyer turns up then you run the risk of either being heavily knocked down on the price or losing the sale altogether because you haven’t been honest.
If you list all the faults in the ad then you can state that you are not moving much on price as you have already taken the bad points into consideration when pricing the car.
